You might be surprised to learn that while Prime Day Meta Quest deals are officially over, pretty much all of the offers we found during the event are still running. That’s likely due to the Meta Quest 3S being in its pre-order window, and the Quest 3 being reduced in price to suit its new sibling. Even accessories are still up for grabs at cheaper prices, so don’t wait around if you missed the boat on Prime Day.
Prime Day gaming dealswere pretty impressive in the summer this year, and although we didn’t get the best VR deals imaginable, we did see a new low price for the Quest 3 (at the time). Now, with the arrival of the Quest 3S, we’ve already seen an adjusted price for the Quest 3 512GB model, and stock of the 128GB version starting to disappear following its official retirement announcement. That said, Meta isn’t the only sheriff in town these days, and we’re getting some real heat from the likes of PSVR 2, and Pico 4 Ultra. As we head toward the Quest3S launch and Black Friday, it’s going to be a great time to shop for thebest VR headsets.
Of course, accessories are a real mainstay of deals events like these, and the biggest savings we usually find come from charging docks and head straps. October’s Prime Day event ended October 9th, but in truth, that hasn’t made much difference. Prime Day has coincided with the pre-launch window for the Meta Quest 3S, so you can still get pre-orders, bundles, and discounts on accessories even after Amazon’s event has officially ended.

Do you need a membership for Prime Day Meta Quest deals?
Usually, Prime Day Meta Quest deals aren’t Prime Exclusive, and competing retailers will usually run their own seasonal sales at the same time as Amazon. What we expect from Prime Day Meta Quest deals in 2024

The Meta Quest 3S has been revealed and is now available for pre-order. As you might expect, that’s had knock-on effects for the rest of the Quest lineup, and what we can expect from October’s Prime Day Deal Days. For starters, the Quest 3 128GB model is now discontinued, with the remaining stock being discounted down. The Quest 2 and Quest Pro have also been retired, meaning the last remnants of stock will get harder to find.
For the Quest 3 512GB model though, we’re now expecting big things. Not only has the price dropped, which we expect will continue while Prime Day continues, but any purchase of a Quest 3 or Quest3S headset right now comes with a new bundle. Batman Arkham Shadow launches later this year, and it comes free with either headset.

What about the competition?
We’ve seen PSVR 2 go on offer in the UK a few times now, but most discounts have been small, with only a £10 discrepancy here and there. The biggest discount we’ve seen in the US and UK was forSony’s Days of Play sale, where $100 / £100 came off the price tag for an extended period of time. A drop like that will most likely be saved for Black Friday, if anything. Then again, we saw PSVR 2 get a cheeky price drop last October on the Meta Quest 3’s launch day. If there’s a Quest 3S, maybe this could happen again.

There’s also thePico 4 Ultrato think about since that will be available when October comes around. To be honest, if you’re thinking about buying a headset come Prime Day, and you want something that’s actually more powerful than the Quest 3, Thepre-order bundlefor the Pico 4 Ultra rival gets you Blade & Sorcery Nomad, Infinite Inside, Get Fit VR, and Footpool. On top of that, you get a set of motion trackers for full-body immersion.
Then, there’s the HTC Vive Focus Vision, which is newly announced. This will be available for pre-order in October as well, and although it’s pricier, it should be on the radar of anyone who wants to play VR games on a high-end gaming PC. DisplayPort and a slew of other clever features is going to make it a big device to watch in 2024 and beyond. Of course, theHTC Vive Pro 2is historically just as pricey, but now it’s had a big discount, saving folks over $200. It will be interesting to see if that price continues to go down.
