The Silent Hill 2 Remake Moth puzzle sees you working out a lock code in Apartment 202, where the combination involves numerous moths pinned to boards, and some sums on the wall with various symbols in place of numbers. Some of you might have worked out the link between these various things already, but keeping track of all the moths in play and exactly how the symbols match can be a little tricky, so I’m here to help, as I’ve got the solution to the combination lock and the moth puzzle in the Silent Hill 2 Remake laid out clearly below.

This puzzle appears after you’ve solved theSilent Hill 2 Remake seesaw and figurines puzzleto get the Minute Hand and gone through the “M” Door to room 202. At this point you’ll see an equation on the wall, next to the combination lock. These sums includes numerous symbols that correspond to the wings of the various moths pinned to the boards.When a symbol comes up in the equation, you swap it out for the number of times you’ve found that symbol on the moths' wings.Counting up all the moth wings means we can work out the symbols represent the following numbers:
If any of those numbers seem larger than you were expecting that’s likely because there’s a wardrobe in the bathroom that must be moved to find some hidden moths - like theSilent Hill 2 Remake radio puzzlebefore this, you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled for hidden elements. However, once you’ve found everything you can work out the equation to get the lock code:
So from that, we get the 373 moth puzzle lock code- enter that into the combination lock, click “Accept” to open it and you’ll gain access to the room beyond. Inside there you’ll find a gross hole in the wall, which James can (understandably reluctantly) stick his hand into to get the Second Hand, the final piece of the ongoingSilent Hill 2 Remake clock and riddle puzzlethat carries you through the Bluecreek Apartments sequence.
