Need to find resin in Enshrouded? Because it’s used for lighting, armour crafting, staffs, spells, and much more, resin is an important resource to find and farm. It can be hard to figure out how to get it though as it’s not essential right away, the game doesn’t highlight where to find it, and it’s slightly random when it does drop. As a result as can end up playing for quite a while before stumbling upon it or have some without realising where it came from. Not to worry though; this Enshrouded resin guide will show you how to find resin and what to use it for. And, because there’s a lot of crafting here I can also help you findEnshrouded Metal scrapsand craft your ownEnshrouded stringfor the many recipes this resource unlocks. How to find resin in Enshrouded(Image credit: Keen Games)To get resin in Enshrouded you just need to chop down trees, specifically ones with orange, red or brown leaves. All trees have a chance of dropping resin when harvested, but any with non-green leaves seem have the highest probability. Larger trees have a better chance of dropping resin overall but even a small orange tree can match the largest green leaved tree’s output. If you’ve only collected wood from smaller trees so far and not paid attention to leaf color, there’s probably a good chance you might not have found any resin yet or picked it up without needing it and not made the connection to a source. So, short version: any tree has a chance of dropping resin but those with orange colored leaves will drop resin at a much higher proportion. The best resin location in Enshrouded(Image credit: Keen Games)If you need Resin super early then head to Longkeep, right in the starting area. You’ll find three orange trees there that get you six resin minimum most times you chop them down. At the moment, everything respawns when you log in again so, as you’ve most likely stuck your first base somewhere near this area, you can keep logging in and out to reset the trees and re-harvest them.Generally, if you want to farm resin in Enshrouded the best way is to make use of the fact that Enshrouded trees respawn whenever you log in. So find a good spot, chop down some trees, collect the resin, log out, log in again, and chop down the same trees. You can repeat this until you’ve got enough resin. Just beware that the Enshrouded developers might prevent this at any point in the future if this isn’t intentional. The opening area generally has enough trees overall if you just want to chop down everything and trust to luck you’ll get plenty of resin through RNG alone:(Image credit: Keen Games)Overall though aim for orange leaves if you want to max out the drop rate. Upgrading your axe will also help speed up the process of gathering resin, because you can cut down trees faster and for longer before you need to repair or replace tools. Finding someEnshrouded shroud woodwill help with your crafting there. How to use resin in Enshrouded(Image credit: Keen Games)Resin is part of many crafting recipes in Enshrouded. If you’re wondering how much resin you’ll need for the most essential resin crafting recipes, here’s an overview:Illumination: resin x4. While not required for every light source, you’ll need resin to craft standing torches, wall torches, and other types of lamps. Unless you like living in the dark, a stack of resin will help you illuminate your base.Rising Fighter armour set: resin x10. A great early-game armour set, which is much stronger than rags or fur armour.Staff: resin x2. An essential weapon to craft if you’re going for a mage build.FireballI: resin x10. A great spell for early-game mages. You’ll need a staff to cast this spell.Hopefully that should answer all your resin question in Enshrouded and make sure you have all you need to see you through your adventure.© GamesRadar+.
