The Helldivers 2 Terminids, also referred to as The Bugs, are one of the game’s main factions, a huge horde of diverse insects that swarm the players and generally use similar tactics. When you’re going up against the Terminids, expect them to come in massive groups to try and overwhelm you, as well as using short range acid splashes and the occasional kaiju-sized Titan to mix things up.
For many, the Bugs are the more fun of the two factions to fight, and while that’s just a matter of personal preference, they’re certainly more straightforward to fight when compared to the Automatons - keep running and firing behind you, occasionally throwing an explosive into the more concentrated clusters.
Alright, maybe it’s a little more complex than that, especially when the Terminids have been evolving into increasingly dramatic forms over the course of the ongoingHelldivers 2story, including morphing into flying Shriekers and the terrifying Impaler. The Terminids' speed, focus on melee combat, and sheer numbers means not all of thebest Helldivers 2 weaponsandStratagemsare good choices for fighting them. Bugs generally are considered the easier of the two factions, but that’s very relative - they’re not actually easy, it’s just that theHelldivers 2 Automatonsare considered even nastier for unprepared players. Bugs are largely more predictable as enemies, but their focus on numbers means that even experienced players won’t dare let their guard down. If Terminids are headed in your direction, keep moving and try to thin their numbers before they can reach you.
