Captain America: Brave New World (aka Captain America 4) will soon hit screens, with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson wielding the shield. That’s right, the one-time Falcon (and new Captain America) is back in action.
Theupcoming Marvel moviewill kick off the studio’s action-packed 2025 slate, taking the reigns from the 2024 smash hitDeadpool and Wolverine, and the witchyDisneyPlus show Agatha All Along. And it will be kicking off the New Year for the MCU with a bang as it introduces some new characters to the timeline, including Indiana Jones himself and Harrison Ford, but more on that later.

So, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know about Captain America: Brave New World (one of the most excitingupcoming superhero movies). So what are you waiting for? Captain America: Brave New World is set to arrive onFebruary 14, 2025.That makes it the perfect date movie, and better yet, it means we only have a few months left to wait.

A new Captain America: Brave New World trailer was released on November 9, 2024, during Disney’s D23 Brazil event. The teaser (which you can watch for yourself above) is over two minutes long and gives us a very good look at the new movie’s story.
Basically, we see our hero have to deal with a terrorist attack. The world is on the brink of war, and in the clip, we also get to see thepresident transform into the Red Hulk.

The Captain America: Brave New World cast is a mix of familiar and new faces. Of course, Anthony Mackie is back to suit up as The Falcon once again, alongside Danny Ramirez’s Joaquín Torres. There are some new faces, though, from Giancarlo Esposito to Harrison Ford, who playsThe Red Hulk.

At SDCC24, it was confirmed that Esposito’s villain, the star he had been teasing for months, is, in fact, Seth Voelker, AKA Sidewinder. In an interview withGamesRadar+, Esposito revealed he did some in-depth comic book studying to prepare for the role.
“Well, you know, in the research I’ve done when I knew that I was going to be playing the head of the Serpent Society, someone who formed it and runs it, I wanted to know more,” he said. “I wanted to go back [and] figure out what are his colors, what do they look like, what do they do, what are his superpowers?”

It also looks like Mark Ruffalo might be appearing as the Hulk, thoughthat’s not confirmed just yet.
Captain America: Brave New World plot

Captain America: Brave New World picks up after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which ended with Sam Wilson finally accepting the mantle of Captain America – setting us up for Captain America 4. His friendship with Joaquin Torres, the future Falcon, was also established in the Disney Plus show.
Specifics on Cap 4 are scarce at the moment, but it’s clear that it’s going to have some significant crossover with the world of the Hulk and that our hero is fighting a terrorist attack. For one thing, we’re going to see Harrison Ford as the Red Hulk, and there are multiple characters returning from The Incredible Hulk. How that’s going to work remains to be seen, though.
Then, Giancarlo Esposito is one of the villains, appearing as Sidewinder – King of the Serpent Society. How that will factor into the fourquel is also a mystery for now.
